Scratchbuilt in 1/72 scale

 

C-46 Commando 1/144 scale built from mahogany

 

Original Sopwith Pup number A6175 was flown by Lt. R. S. Capon,
B Flight, N.O. 66 Squadron, RFC, April 1917

This model is scratchbuilt in 1/32 scale.

 

This Fleet Biplane was my first scratch-built model.

 
Wood Model Kits

Muscongus Bay Lobster Smack

Smacks are boats that haul live cargo.
These sloop-rigged boats caught and hauled fish and lobster in Maine during the 19th century.
Today they are built by wooden sailboat enthusiasts.

This model, in 1/24 scale, is 15" long and 14-1/2" high.
It is named "Cypress" in memory of our first dog.
