Jesus and His disciples in the Upper Room Kingdom Servants
Our Statement of Faith

We believe in the one and only God that manifests Himself in three Persons, the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the 66 books of the Bible are the inerrant word of God, written by man but God-breathed. We believe it is the complete message of God to man. We believe that the Bible is to be read plainly and is to be taken as complete truth in every word.

We believe that salvation can only be found through Jesus Christ. All have sinned and are separated from God. Jesus paid the blood sacrifice of death for our sins. Salvation is a free gift whereby man asks forgiveness of his sins, accepts the blood sacrifice of Jesus as payment for his sins, and turns away from the life of sin and towards Jesus.

We believe that anyone who is truly saved is eternally secure in Jesus Christ.

Bobbie's Testimony
I always believed in God, knew that Jesus was His Son, and that Jesus died for our sins. I wasn't Jewish, atheist, buddhist, hindu, etc., so I called myself a Christian. Actually, I was annoyed by the Bible-thumpers and especially irritated by the phrase "born again," which didn't make a bit of sense to me.

When I told my son about a DVD I'd found called "Left Behind," he encouraged me to read book series instead. When I bought the second volume at a Christian bookstore, I also received a Gospel tract, and read it over and over. Even after I realized I needed to ask for salvation, I held back, feeling completely unworthy. How could God possibly want me, when I had done so much wrong? The "Good News" is vital stuff! Why hadn't my parents said something about it? Why had I never heard a clear presentation of it in any church? How could I, a reasonably intelligent middle-aged grandmother, have missed so much truth for so long?

On Wednesday, March 14th, 2001, while driving home from work, I made my confession and plea, and received salvation on Covil Avenue in Wilmington, North Carolina. Tears of profound joy and relief streamed down my face. And by the time I reached my next intersection at Market Street, about a half mile away, I could FEEL the Holy Spirit enter into my heart! It was a sensation like nothing else in my experience -- almost like a hot flash without heat, or a panic attack without fear. Yet I knew intuitively what it was, and the change in me was immediate. All at once, little bits of the Lord's Truth that I had heard over the years came together and made complete sense!

Now I fully understand the true meaning of "born again," because I'm a completely different person. It's a spiritual re-birth -- a 180-degree attitude adjustment!

Before receiving salvation, I had fought panic attacks for 5 years, panic of a severity that left me unable to drive for more than a year and a half, terrified to be in the grocery store, afraid to be alone. Since becoming a Christian, I have had no panic attacks! Additonally, co-workers who had known me for years could see that 180-degree attitude adjustment that can only happen with Christ. Satan very nearly had me. But by the grace of God, even an unworthy sinner like me will one day see heaven. Praise God forever!
